Position Title:
Post Assistant Operator Pay Rate :
$20.86 (2 nd shift) + 0.26 shift differential
Category/Shift :
Hourly Full-Time (2pm-10pm - Monday-Friday)

The Job You Will Perform:
Must follow all safety rules and procedures; watch out for self and team member's safety at all times. Always follow lock out and tag out procedures; always use personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, steel-toed shoes & others as required). Must understand and carry out housekeeping standards. Must demonstrate teamwork and resolve issues effectively and professionally. Must be capable of running machine at safe speeds and top quality to meet customer needs. Must be able to set up and make adjustments to all parts of the entire machine. Adds/removes machine parts by hand, utilizing wrenches. Feeds and monitors the corrugated sheets and makes necessary adjustments including moving gates, and cranking the folding rails, etc. Demonstrated ability to detect, prevent, and resolve quality issues, involving management for resolution of issues or confirming quality expectations as needed. Must be able to read a standard tape measure, read and thoroughly understand job specifications, and follow written and oral directions. Must be a self-starter, able to operate from directions or independently as needed Demonstrated ability to add and subtract all units of measure. A comprehension level is required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in English in written or oral form and to deal with problems. Constant standing, walking, and reaching at or below shoulder level; frequent twisting, bending, and lifting from the ground; repetitive lifting up to 20 pounds. Must be willing and able to work daily and weekly overtime, including weekends, as business conditions require. Must be willing to accept direction from the Operator in order to insure the most efficient operation possible Able to learn the Operator's position so that continuous run processes can be established, as needed All other duties as assigned
The Skills You Will Bring:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Trade School and/or advanced degree preferred Two years or more experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. (corrugated manufacturing is a plus). Ability to problem solve with minimal assistance. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, managers, etc. Basic computer skills (data entry, etc) and be able to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtractions, multiplications, division and use of a tape measure. Comply with all IPs Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times. Ability to learn and understand machine line up. Ability to understand/learn all operations of corrugated manufacturing. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to understand/learn and accurately setup, run instructions and production times. Must be dependable and reliable Ability to work in an environment that is often hot in the summer and cool in the winter. This position requires standing throughout your entire shift and moderate to heavy lifting at times.
