JOB DESCRIPTION A
 supply company is seeking Tier 2 Production Technician to safely produce and ship quality products to our customers in a timely and efficient manner. In addition, you will receive and prepare products on the polymer emulsion product line, prepare orders for shipment while following prescribed safety, quality, lean activities (5S), inventory, production, and shipping processes and standards. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; however, you must be flexible to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Duties:
Product line subject matter expert related to production and manufacturing activities and ensure that the provided equipment to complete production is in top operating condition Utilize plant scheduling system for daily tasks and assignments and follow the Work Order Packaging instructions to ensure products are correctly packaged for shipment Prepare, package, and label chemical orders for shipment, properly transfer raw materials to their appropriate storage areas, and material in bulk tanker trucks between plant facilities Spot-check the packing list for incoming materials, package the finished product into the designated container, and prepare for shipment, including printing product labels Perform shipping, receiving, scheduling shipments, documenting receipts, and utilize inventory system to track product Weigh material, inspect the package integrity, load the material onto the transport carrier, ensure the accompanying paperwork is properly processed, and create weight tickets for trucks Participate in cycle counts for the raw materials, accurately count the assigned items on a weekly basis, and ensure the accuracy of the inventory in work area to ensure work area is stocked Initiate Inventory reorder, perform operator quality checks, identify process improvements, implement Lean initiatives, and perform preventative maintenance on individual equipment Oversee the cleaning of storage tanks in a confined space environment, effectively utilize company communications, attend company meetings, regular work group huddles, and regularly practice the company values Perform other duties as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Job Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED Must have demonstrated experience in production or manufacturing environment Certified Forklift Operator, Class A CDL, and Tanker endorsement is preferred Must have strong time management, organizational, and effective verbal and written communication skills, while managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and working in a team environment Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus is required, while keeping track of orders and staying on schedule Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and industry related software programs Must be comfortable working in confined spaces, in temperatures above 100 degrees F and below 32 degrees F, exposure to slippery or uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds Must have the ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays pursuant with industry demands Only candidates that can pass a background and BMV check, and drug screen will be considered.
