Job Description

New Tech Plastics is seeking a Shift Lead with a strong Manufacturing Background, preferably in Blown Film to lead our production team and optimize efficiencies for our expanding operation. The Lead will take direct responsibility for shift leadership for a specific shift or area. They will foster a positive work environment with safety first mentality.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Ensure production standards are met and communicate KPI's. • Responsible for utilizing experience where and when needed. Comprehend the regulatory environment and company policies, and ensure production systems, documentation, and processes are in compliance at all times. Develop personal knowledge of equipment and manufacturing systems to provide a highly competent technical resource. Provide technical expertise to resolve and/or troubleshoot production related issues. Build technical competencies within all production staff by sharing knowledge, coaching, and providing ongoing trainings. Implement and utilize solutions and technologies in support of improved safety, quality, continuous improvement, and optimization of manufacturing processes. Develop all staff and build an effective operating culture by setting clear expectations, providing on going coaching, and assessing employee performance. Oversee the accurate and timely completion of production records. Determine and enforce quality control standards to ensure all output meets company and customer expectations. Foster a safety-first work environment. Ensure all safety and incident reports are completed and communicated in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
1-3 years experience as manager in a manufacturing setting, preferably Blown Film. An associates degree or relevant experience in manufacturing and or blown film Experience training, directing, and coordinating the activities of others in a manufacturing environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Developed organizational and time management skills. Database entry and reporting experience.

Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
