Press Operator Job Functions

PRESS OPERATION

- Performs light assembly and manufacturing tasks to support production of finished products. Operates Die-Cutting Roller press and related finishing equipment according to work instructions, production requirements, and quality standards. Monitors equipment performance throughout the shift and reports any process concerns, equipment issues, or production interruptions to the supervisor.

ASSEMBLY & PRODUCTION SUPPORT

- Completes hands-on assembly, bonding, trimming, packaging, and other finishing tasks as assigned. Maintains a steady production flow by following production schedules, job travelers, and part specifications. Handles products carefully to prevent damage and ensure customer requirements are met.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

- Ensures finished products meet company and customer quality requirements. Inspects parts for proper bonding, alignment, cleanliness, cosmetic defects, contamination, and other non-conforming conditions. Separates rejected product from accepted product and notifies the supervisor or quality team of any concerns.

MATERIAL HANDLING

- Loads materials, film, components, packaging, and production supplies as needed. Stages completed product in the proper containers or locations. Keeps the work area supplied, clean, organized, and ready for continued production.

• SAFETY - Learns and follows workplace safety procedures, machine guarding requirements, and OSHA safety regulations. Uses proper PPE while working around presses, heated equipment, tooling, sharp tools, and moving equipment. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area and reports unsafe conditions immediately.

Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Strong attendance and timeliness are required Prior manufacturing, light assembly, finishing, bonding press, or production experience preferred, but willing to train the right person Ability to operate or learn to operate Normec film bonding presses and related finishing equipment Ability to perform light assembly, manufacturing, trimming, bonding, packaging, and finishing tasks Ability to inspect finished products for bonding quality, cleanliness, and cosmetic defects Good attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to read, write, and follow directions using the English language Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment Highly accountable, responsible, and reliable Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Good organizational skills and willingness to learn additional tasks Ability to work safely around presses, heated equipment, tooling, sharp tools, and moving equipment while using proper PPE Ability to work assigned shift schedule consistently Location
