Job Description

Position summary : The Production Associate is responsible for the production of quality textile goods for Goodwill customers. Typical tasks include sorting, tagging, and staging products in a quick and efficient manner, while maintaining production goals and quality standards set by Goodwill.
Essential functions:
Consistently meet production requirements, per Goodwill production standards, while working with management in maintaining an efficient flow of processed merchandise. Use sound judgment in sorting/producing donations, ensuring items of value are not discarded. Maintain Goodwill quality standards when processing and pricing donations. Communicate with materials handler and/or management about any shortage of materials or necessary services. Prepare necessary paperwork as required for production operations reporting; maintain integrity and accuracy in reporting actual production and other information requested by management in a timely fashion. Work with management in solving problems while remaining flexible in adjusting to changes in operations and scheduling requirements. Sort, pull, display, and arrange merchandise as instructed by store management. Maintain all work areas in a neat and orderly manner and assist in general housekeeping tasks including maintaining floors (sweep, dust, vacuum, mop), Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality. Attend safety training and follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and supervised work environment for all employees. Promote positive teamwork among co-workers. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and required skills:
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent customer service, ability to work with diverse public. Ability to use physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, reaching and climbing; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
Education and experience:
High School diploma or GED preferred. Factory/assembly experience preferred but not required. Retail experience helpful.
