Full Job Description Production Control Assistant Pay Rate and Compensation:
  • 1st Shift Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
  • Flex Schedule with a 30m lunch.
  • $18.00

Job Summary The Production Control Assistant plays a vital role in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly. This hybrid role balances office-based inventory tracking with physical material handling. Responsibilities include supporting daily production control activities (tracking counts, printing/managing kanbans, and database entry) alongside operating a sit-down forklift to safely move, stage, and organize production materials.
Key Responsibilities Daily Production Control Support:
Execute daily PC activities including performing accurate inventory counts, printing kanbans, and managing gate kanbans to ensure seamless material flow.
Material Handling & Forklift Operation:
Safely and efficiently operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, move, and stage materials, parts, and containers in support of production lines.
Database Management:
Accurately enter data, update tracking systems, and maintain internal databases to support production scheduling and inventory accuracy.
Cross Departmental Coordination:
Collaborate closely within the Production Control team and with other departments to process line fill orders and implement Engineering Change Instructions (ECI).
Required Skills & Qualifications Forklift Experience:
Proven experience safely operating a sit-down forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (current or previous OSHA forklift certification preferred).
Technical Proficiency:
Strong database entry skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel (data tracking) and Outlook .
Analytical & Math Skills:
Comfortable working with numbers, checking quantities, and performing accurate calculations for inventory counts.
Problem-Solving & Detail-Oriented:
Ability to catch inventory discrepancies, think critically, and maintain a high level of precision in a fast-paced environment.
Communication & Teamwork:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments. Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs . Ability to comfortably transition between sitting at a computer workstation, driving a forklift, and walking the production floor.
