This role is critical to optimizing production flow, ensuring on-time delivery, and maximizing machine utilization in a fast-paced CNC machining environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic setting where efficiency, accuracy, and proactive problem-solving are essential. Key Responsibilities Production Scheduling & Planning Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and long-range production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments Coordinate workflow across multiple CNC machining centers, balancing priorities, machine capacity, and availability Provide accurate lead times for customer quotes based on production demand and capacity constraints Cross-Functional Coordination Partner with Setup, Production, and Operations teams to align schedules for jobs, tooling, fixtures, and sequencing Communicate schedule priorities, changes, and production status updates to internal stakeholders Performance Monitoring & Optimization Monitor production progress and proactively identify bottlenecks, delays, and scheduling conflicts Implement improvements to increase throughput, reduce downtime, and enhance on-time delivery performance Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement Analyze production data, machine utilization, and capacity trends using ERP/MRP systems and Excel Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on scheduling accuracy and shop floor efficiency Maintain accurate scheduling records and ensure alignment between plans and execution Preferred Experience Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments Familiarity with multi-axis machining centers, automated pallet systems, or advanced manufacturing equipment What Success Looks Like Consistent on-time delivery performance Optimized machine utilization and reduced downtime Clear communication and alignment across production teams Data-driven scheduling decisions that improve overall shop efficiency If you're a hands-on scheduler who understands CNC operations and thrives on keeping production running smoothly and efficiently, we want to hear from you.
