The Assembly Lead role is responsible for providing front-line people support and operational updates with respect to daily, tactical direction and employee leadership. This includes task assignment, scheduling, operational guidance, training, coaching & development. The successful candidate will be a champion of change, identifying and helping to implement process/system changes to drive efficiency gains and employee safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below and to perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management. Will be assigned up to a group of 10-25 employees; various segment teams will be comprised of Warehouse Drivers, Materials Handlers, etc. Ability to identify and resolve issues with flow of conveyors, materials and work issues. Follow-up and provide feedback/recommendations on the new hire and refresher training processes to ensure employees are fully developed & meeting standards. Display a sense of urgency & escalate issues appropriately to maximize resources. Ability to communicate and motivate associates to meet the needs of the business. Coordinate day-to-day workflow, training and troubleshooting in a warehouse environment. Use WMS or other systems/reports, track and/or review productivity to ensure goals, deadlines and outputs are met in an accurate an efficient manner. Provide constructive and timely feedback to associates (one on one or in a group setting) regarding performance and productivity. Conduct start-up meetings and temporarily cover for the Supervisor as necessary. Assist in updating and documenting process changes and training plans. Impact retention positively by fostering respectful team environment through professional communication, motivation and timely problem resolution. Ability to perform the lead duties for multiple areas/departments in the facility.

During non-peak requirements may include:

Supporting production, serving as backup shuttle driver, assisting at Obetz facility Adhere to all attendance, safety, security and SQF requirements. Must be able to work overtime during peak seasons or higher volume periods Must possess the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Possess a positive outlook and a 'can-do' mindset. Support all company guidelines, including business code of conduct. Maintain a clean and organized facility that is "tour ready" at all times. Promote a culture of continuous improvement while retaining and developing world-class diverse talent. Perform other duties and work in other departments as assigned. #
