SERVICE WORKER
(Forklift Operator)

$24.35/hour

Available Shift:
2nd shift (3pm - 11pm) Summary Operate forklift and other mobile equipment to move materials within production buildings and between production and warehouse locations. This position is also responsible for transporting raw materials to/from designated locations and supporting efficient operations. Key Accountabilities Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment safely and according to established procedures. Move materials within production areas and between production and warehouse locations. Transport raw materials to and from designated locations. Communicate effectively with coworkers regarding safety, quality, maintenance, production, and continuous improvement initiatives. Follow established work instructions and assist in writing, revising, and training others on work instructions when needed. Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve production issues or notify appropriate personnel when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area by following 5S principles. Sweep and remove debris from production areas and machinery. Lift up to 40 pounds and move materials weighing up to 200 pounds using appropriate equipment and techniques. Comply with all plant and corporate safety policies and procedures. Assist in other departments and perform additional duties as assigned to meet changing business needs. Knowledge, Skills, And Experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Forklift experience highly preferred, but not required. Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions. Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English. Basic math skills. Basic understanding of machine operation.
