Role:
Job Description As a Production Worker at Sharon Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, located in Niles, OH, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the production line and maintaining safety standards. This role is perfect for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the manufacturing process while promoting a safe and productive workplace. What You'll Do Operates hand and/or power equipment- Ensures proper operation and maintenance of machinery to meet production standards. Runs machinery
- Controls various types of equipment to ensure smooth production processes. Handles materials
- Responsible for moving raw materials to designated areas to keep production running smoothly. Ensures safety procedures
- Follows all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Operates mobile equipment
- Uses forklift or other mobile equipment for material handling. Uses packing and banding equipment
- Efficiently operates packing and banding machines to prepare products for shipment. Performs other duties as assigned
- Supports team efforts by completing any other tasks requested by management. Who You Are 1+ years of industrial experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. High School Diploma/GED required
- A minimum of a high school education or equivalent. Mechanical aptitude
- Proven ability to work with machines and understand basic mechanical functions. Attention to detail and dependability
- Strong focus on quality and reliability. Ability to work shift work
- Flexible to work various shifts as required by the job. Ability to work overtime
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet production demands. Pass drug/physical/background check
- Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test and background check. Legally authorized to work in the US
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Safety-conscious
- Ability to lead and promote health and safety practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.
