Job Title:
Production Associate - 1st and 2nd - 20.05/hr Job Description The Production Associate on 2nd shift plays a key role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, operating wrapping equipment, assembling and packaging products, and working collaboratively in small teams to meet production goals. This role involves repetitive tasks, consistent attention to detail, and strong hand-eye coordination to ensure products are accurately wrapped, boxed, and moved through the production line. Responsibilities Operate a wrapping machine to consistently produce and wrap product according to established procedures. Wrap finished product, assemble boxes, place product into boxes, and move boxed items onto the conveyor system. Perform repetitive production and packaging tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Work in teams of three to coordinate workflow, support teammates, and achieve production targets. Maintain a fast work pace throughout the shift while following all safety and quality guidelines. Use hand tools and power tools as needed for mechanical assembly and general production tasks. Follow training instructions and standard operating procedures, becoming fully proficient in the role within approximately two weeks. Lift and move materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds as part of daily duties. Adhere to all safety requirements, including wearing closed-toed shoes and using equipment properly. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safe operations. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED. At least 1 year of manufacturing experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive production environment. Strong hand-eye coordination for machine operation and product handling. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. Comfort using hand tools and power tools in a production setting. Basic mechanical assembly skills. Reliability and consistency in following instructions and safety procedures. Ability to work effectively as part of a small team. Willingness to work 2nd shift hours from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with assembly line work and general production tasks. Experience in machine operation or machine operating in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with packaging and packing processes in a production facility. Ability to adapt quickly during the two-week training period. Attention to detail in product wrapping, boxing, and labeling. Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting production goals. Work Environment The role is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility that produces air freshening products, with a major product line including urinal cakes. The work is performed on 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., with regular overtime of approximately six hours on Fridays and voluntary work on Saturdays when needed. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with frequent use of wrapping machines, conveyors, hand tools, and power tools. Team members work closely in groups of three along the assembly line. Closed-toed shoes are required as part of the dress code to support safety on the production floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perrysburg, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.05 - $20.05/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
