Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking skilled and dedicated Press Operators to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of press machinery, including stamping presses, press brake machines, and CNC-controlled equipment, to produce high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, precision measurement skills, and experience with fabrication processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment that values safety, quality, and efficiency. Duties Operate and monitor different press machinery such as stamping presses, press brakes, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, and CNC laser cutting equipment to produce parts according to specifications. Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards. Set up tooling, fixtures, and tooling calibrations for various machines ensuring proper alignment and safety protocols. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other gauges to ensure parts meet specified tolerances. Use hand tools and fabrication techniques for assembly or minor modifications as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards; operate overhead cranes or forklifts when handling heavy materials. Document production data accurately and assist in continuous process improvements. Qualifications Proven experience operating press machinery including stamping presses, CNC laser cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, or similar equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings. Familiarity with CNC programming and machining processes is highly desirable. Knowledge of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control. Experience with welding, sheet metal fabrication, or electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus. Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other quality inspection instruments. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to manufacturing processes. Ability to operate forklifts or cranes safely; certification preferred but not mandatory. Good understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and quality standards. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
