Strongsville, OH Direct-hire opportunity offering long-term career stability Opportunity to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment with an established employer Job Description An established manufacturing company is seeking a Machine Operator to join its 2nd shift team in Strongsville, OH. In this role, you will set up, operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment to ensure materials meet customer specifications. You will work both independently and as part of a team in a detail-focused production environment. This position is ideal for someone with previous machine operation experience who is comfortable using measuring tools and performing equipment adjustments.
Responsibilities:
Set up, start, operate, and adjust production machinery using wrenches, rulers, gauges, templates, and other tools. Read production schedules, customer specifications, and related documents to determine equipment setup and adjustments. Install and adjust machine components, including spacers, bars, sleeves, and blades, to meet production specifications. Monitor machine operation, inspect finished rolls for defects, and measure dimensions using gauges, rulers, tape measures, templates, and squares. Support other departments or production areas and complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1-3 years of related machine operation or manufacturing experience. Basic computer skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand throughout the workday. Ability to read production specifications and use basic measuring tools. Willingness to assist in other departments or work areas as needed.
