Job Description
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Operations Superintendent to lead second-shift production operations at a USDA-regulated Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for driving production efficiency, food safety, employee development, and operational excellence while ensuring the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead daily production operations for the 2nd shift. Manage production planning, staffing, scheduling, and inventory. Drive production efficiency while meeting operational KPIs. Ensure compliance with USDA, food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards. Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams. Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and other departments to maximize productivity. Participate in budgeting, capital planning, workforce planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain strong communication across shifts to ensure smooth production flow. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred (Meat Science, Business, or related field). Minimum 3 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience. Superintendent, Production Manager, or Plant Operations leadership experience. Experience in USDA Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food manufacturing is required. Strong knowledge of production planning, staffing, food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work onsite on the 2nd Shift (4 PM-11 PM). Preferred Experience
