Admin Assistant - $17/hr DOE Production Assistant - $22/hr DOE Academie de Ballet Classique is seeking an organized, dependable, and people-oriented Administrative & Production Assistant to join our team. This is a unique position that combines two roles: assisting with the day-to-day operations of our dance studio and helping lead the behind-the-scenes organization of our performances and productions. The ideal candidate enjoys working with families and children, is highly organized, comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities, and thrives in both an office environment and the energy of production weeks. Administrative Assistant Responsibilities Assist our front desk staff and studio manager with daily administrative and customer service needs, including: Working the front desk during scheduled and peak times Checking dancers in for classes Assisting dancers and parents Answering phones, emails, and new-student inquiries Assisting with general administrative projects Helping with studio events such as exams, showcases, open houses, and special events Providing occasional substitute coverage for our front desk lead Current regular administrative schedule:

approximately 9-10 hours per week. Production Assistant Responsibilities The Production Assistant plays an important role in preparing for and running our major annual productions, including The Nutcracker, Winter Showcase, and our June Production .
Responsibilities may include:
Costumes Measuring dancers for costumes Assisting with costume fittings Organizing and maintaining costumes and props Ordering costumes and production supplies Coordinating costume preparation Helping lead production photo days Organizing and overseeing parent volunteers Casting & Rehearsals Assisting with casting administration and cast lists Helping coordinate rehearsal schedules Assisting with or running production rehearsals as needed Productions Assisting with backstage organization and production operations Managing costumes and the costume team during performances Helping dancers, volunteers, and staff stay organized throughout rehearsals and performances Production Availability Because this position plays an important role in our performances, availability during our major production periods is required. Week immediately following the end of the local public-school year Production work varies throughout the year. Some weeks may require only a few hours of production preparation, while costume measuring, rehearsals, photo days, and production weeks will require significantly more availability. This is best suited for someone who appreciates a flexible, seasonal work rhythm rather than needing the exact same number of hours every week. During regular studio weeks, the combined position will generally provide approximately 14 hours per week . Hours increase during busy production periods and may reach approximately 25-30+ hours during peak weeks . December after Nutcracker, July, and August may have fewer production hours. Some production work may be scheduled around the regular front desk hours. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: High School Diploma or higher Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent customer service skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Confidence working independently and as part of a team Experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Forms Ability to learn dance studio management software and other technology quickly Attention to detail and ability to follow projects through to completion Reliability during important rehearsals, events, and production dates Candidates should also be able to: Lift up to approximately 25 pounds Stand for moderate periods of time Walk quickly and move throughout the studio or backstage areas during productions Dance experience is helpful but is not required. Experience with theater, costumes, event coordination, administrative work, customer service, or working with children and families would also be valuable.
