Studio Assistant Nadine Weatherstone Atelier Forest Grove, OR Job Details Full-time $25 - $40 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Maintaining an organized workspace Plastering Attention to detail Full Job Description Studio Assistant - Handcrafted Wallcovering & Lighting Studio Portland, Oregon Nadine Weatherstone Atelier is hiring a Studio Assistant to join a small team producing high-end, handcrafted wallcoverings and sculptural lighting. This is a physical, hands-on role inside a working artist studio. You will be working with plaster, gesso, mineral pigments, sand, and handmade paper. The work requires focus, consistency, and attention to detail. Before applying, please read carefully: This is not a design job This is not a fast-moving creative role with constant variety Much of the work is repetitive and process-driven The standard for quality is high, and details matter If you're looking to "be creative" right away, this is not the right position. If you're interested in learning a craft over time and working with your hands, this may be a strong fit. What You'll Do Assist in the production of handcrafted wallcoverings and lighting Follow established processes exactly and consistently Prepare materials, maintain tools, and keep the studio organized Support the team in meeting production timelines What Matters Most You show up on time, every day You take direction well and follow through You care about doing things properly, not quickly You're comfortable with hands-on, sometimes messy work You can stay focused on detailed tasks for extended periods What You'll Gain You'll learn how high-end, material-driven work is actually made, step by step, inside a professional studio.
