Job Description

Position Summary:
Cobia is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Operations Specialist to join our team at a small but innovative manufacturing and design company focused on providing customized industrial packaging solutions for the semiconductor industry. This multifaceted position combines client project support, operational and research activities, administrative support, and light manufacturing. The ideal candidate is technically inclined, highly organized, and comfortable moving between computer-based tasks, fabrication environment, and local client facilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving and data analysis in a hands-on environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support client projects through data gathering, documentation, and project coordination. Enter, edit, and upload project materials, customer intake forms, and other project documentation.
  • Visit local client facilities to measure components, perform validation testing, and pick up or deliver materials and completed products.
  • Set up and operate light manufacturing equipment, including CNC, laser cutting/etching, band saws, and other automated and manual equipment.
  • Create or modify CNC and laser files to manufacture custom packaging solutions.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and digital models.
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming and outbound shipments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma and 2+ years of college or equivalent work experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to create pivot tables and compare data sets is essential. Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning manufacturing equipment and processes Strong research, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team Professional communication skills and comfort interacting directly with clients. Preferred Experience CAD/CAM software, particularly Fusion 360. CNC, laser cutting and etching, or other fabrication equipment. Semiconductor industry, particularly Fab operations or Cleaning.
Job Requirements:
This is a full-time hourly position, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week and primarily on-site in Hillsboro. Work is performed across office, fabrication, light-industrial, and client environments. The position requires regular handling and movement of parts and materials up to 50 lbs, safe operation around industrial equipment, and local travel to client facilities. A company vehicle may be provided for certain work-related travel.
