Production Cell Leader

Job Description

The Production Cell Leader is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in leading and managing an assigned team (cell) and its manufacturing process. This position requires the ability to effectively interact with employees and multiple departments to achieve our production goals. Essential Functions of the
Job:
Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services. Operate the cells according to employee qualifications and production. Completing cross sections on cabling. Ensure employees are properly trained for their positions. Enforce policies, procedures, and regulations. Contribute to and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Enforce Product Quality according to defined standards. Notify Supervisor of employee issues concerning attendance and performance. Inspect LL materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and work orders for team members. Set up and adjust equipment and test-units. Measures and maintains production line quality targets Maintains regular, predictable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ranging from 10 - 30 indirect reports, depending on
Cell TRAVEL:
<5% of travel
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
HS Diploma (or equivalent); vocational or technical training preferred 3 years related experience; previous experience in Automotive cabling is a plus US Person and ability to obtain a security clearance First aid/bloodborne pathogen certified a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Working knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, AS 9100, IATF 16949) Strong communication and leadership skills Good computer skills, especially with MS Office Organizational and time-management skills Decision-making skills
