This role assists with ingredient and product preparation, equipment operation, inventory organization, quality control, and maintaining a clean and efficient production environment. Common Job Roles Coffee Production Assistant Coffee Production Associate Coffee Preparation Assistant Coffee Manufacturing Associate Café Production Support Associate Key Responsibilities Assist with daily coffee production and preparation activities Prepare and organize coffee beans, ingredients, packaging, and production supplies Operate coffee production and packaging equipment as trained Assist with measuring, portioning, packaging, labeling, and organizing coffee products Monitor products for quality, consistency, and proper presentation Restock production materials and maintain organized inventory areas Assist with receiving and storing coffee supplies and materials Maintain clean and sanitary production workstations and equipment Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Assist with cleaning and basic care of production equipment Report damaged products, equipment issues, or material shortages to supervisors Support team members during busy production periods Perform additional coffee production and operational duties assigned by management Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous coffee, food production, manufacturing, café, or warehouse experience is an asset but not required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Good teamwork and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads Preferred Skills Experience with coffee preparation, roasting, packaging, or production Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices Familiarity with production equipment and packaging procedures Strong organizational and time management abilities Good quality-control and problem-solving skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn About the Company Gems & Joe is a coffee-focused business dedicated to providing quality coffee products and customer experiences.
