Jabco's Custom Lawn Care and Christmas Decor by Jabco's is looking for a dependable, organized, and hardworking individual that is ready to tackle different challenges and tasks each day to help manage our shop and yard operations. This position plays an important role in keeping materials, equipment, and crews organized and prepared throughout the year. Hours and start times will vary based on season. Primary Responsibilities Load customer vehicles and company trucks with bulk landscape materials. Keep the shop, yard, and material-storage areas clean, organized, and presentable. Organize job materials, tools, equipment, and items returned by field crews. Continuously improve organizational systems throughout the shop and yard. Mow and weed-whack the property as needed. Water and care for plants being stored for upcoming jobs. Feed, water, and care for approximately 50 chickens, including compost management and other related responsibilities. Pick up and organize materials left by employees who have been working long hours in the field. Deliver materials, tools, equipment, and other necessary items to jobsites. Help load materials for backhauling to the shop. Assist crews with completing the back end of jobs when they are working against a deadline. Perform other shop, yard, and operational duties as assigned. Christmas Season Responsibilities Prepare materials and equipment for upcoming Christmas lighting installations. Organize and restock job trailers. Make sure Christmas crews leave the yard on time with the correct materials. Prepare and stage materials for the following day's jobs. Receive, organize, and restock Christmas lighting products and supplies. Help keep the shop and Christmas storage areas clean and organized during our busiest season. Snow Removal Responsibilities Operate a skid loader for snow removal when qualified and assigned. Clean and inspect equipment after snow events. Restock supplies and prepare trucks, trailers, and equipment for upcoming storms. Assist with other snow-removal duties as needed. This is primarily a shop and yard support position; however, the employee may occasionally be asked to work with a field crew when the company is short-staffed, approaching a deadline, or needs additional help completing a project. The right candidate will be dependable, self-motivated, organized, and willing to take initiative. This person should be able to recognize what needs to be done without always waiting for instructions and take pride in maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-prepared workplace.
