Your responsibilities
- Efficiently select, install, and adjust tooling (dies and punches) in the press brake based on material thickness, bend angle, and desired form
- Perform quick and accurate machine setups and changeovers between different production runs
- Operate the brake press to form sheet metal components and parts according to job specifications and work orders
- Monitor machine operation, troubleshoot potential forming errors (e.g., warping, cracking, or incorrect angles), and make necessary adjustments to the program or setup
- Minimize material scrap by carefully managing material handling and operating the machine accurately from the first bend.
