Build something that lasts, on a schedule that lets you have a life. Scenic Road has been building wheelbarrows, hay racks, stall gates and farm products in Lancaster County since 1977. Every single one is made start to finish in our Denver, PA plant. Our customers call them overbuilt, and they mean it as a compliment — these are tools that get handed down, not thrown away. We're looking for Machine Operators to help build them. You don't need experience. You need to show up and care about the work. We will train you on every machine you run. There's a written procedure for each one and a person who will walk you through it, and you won't run anything until you've been signed off on it. What we can't teach is being here at 6:00 AM every day, and caring enough to catch a bad part before it goes in a box. Bring that and we'll handle the rest. What you'd be doing Running punch presses, the brake press, benders, welders or our thermoforming machine, working from a work order and a written procedure Loading material, running parts to count, and staging finished work Checking your own quality as you go — first-piece checks, in-process checks and pattern checks against the work order Catching defects, bad welds, coating problems and short counts before they move down the line Daily machine inspection, greasing and oiling your machine on schedule Keeping your area clean, safe and organized You'll move between machines depending on what needs to ship. It isn't the same job every day, and most people here consider that a feature. What we're looking for

Required:

Reliable attendance and punctuality — 6:00 AM start Basic math: add, subtract, multiply and divide with whole numbers and decimals Able to read and follow written work orders and instructions Willing to check your own work and speak up when something looks wrong Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for a full shift, and work in a plant that's heated but not air conditioned 18 or older, authorized to work in the U.S., able to pass a background check Helpful but not required: Any manufacturing, machine shop, welding, construction, farm or equipment repair background Mechanical aptitude — you like knowing how things work Forklift experience (we'll certify you) Conversational Spanish No resume required. If you can do the work, we want to talk to you. Schedule Monday through Friday, first shift. OR 4 days 6:00 AM start, with your choice of a 2:30 or 4:30 end if 4 days. No nights. No rotating shifts. No regular weekends. Overtime is available and paid at time and a half, but it's approved in advance — not sprung on you at 4:00 on a Friday. Pay and how you move up Starting at $19.00

00 Full setup, die work and machine repair — we promote from the floor We track your progress on machines you're signed off on. Get signed off on more, make more. There's a real path here into maintenance work, and we'd rather promote someone who already knows our equipment than hire a stranger.
