Position Summary:
- The Assistant Mailer Operator assists the Operator in the safe operation of the mailer equipment to produce quality product by continual adjustments of gauges that control machines speed, temperatures, pressures, and winder speeds while also focusing on safety and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures.
- Follow direction of the Operator once production schedule is obtained.
- Gather and measure raw materials and parts required to specification.
- Prepare station for production process.
- Assist in the operations of manufacturing of quality products.
- Help Operator complete all required reports.
- Comply with Company standards regarding housekeeping and 6S on machines and surrounding areas.
- Ability to help troubleshoot when problems arise.
- Perform duties of other team members as required during breaks and absences.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Requirements:
- 1+ year of factory-related experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Awareness towards safety
- Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and independently
- Able to work overtime and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in operating hoists/ cranes, forklift, and other related equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending
- Pushing, pulling, lifting weights over 30lbs
- Eye/hand coordination
- Must be able to routinely work in a "hot room" (up to 110 degrees F at times) Benefits and Perks
