Job Description
The Galliker Dairy Company, headquartered in Johnstown, PA since 1914, has an immediate opening for an Ice Cream Production Freezer Operator at our Johnstown PA location. The Galliker Dairy Company is a major Mid-Atlantic dairy processor and distributor of Milk, Iced Tea, and Ice Cream products. EOE/AA E-Verify The person filling this position has the primary responsibility of producing quality Ice Cream products and operate all equipment related to manufacturingpackaging finished Ice Cream products. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Accurately and legibly completes all necessary charts, paperwork and documentation required by State and Federal agencies and Galliker Dairy for each job they are covering including any necessary computer entries. Properly perform all job duties associated within the Ice Cream Department while following all company SOP's for the coverage area. Operate all related machinery in an efficient manner to produce Clean, Fresh, Defect free packaged product while minimizing waste. Communicate effectively and professionally with Supervisors, Pasteurizers, Lab, Cooler and other line employees during production, related to the job you are covering. Ensure proper code is placed on package, proper product is placed in package, as well as lidslabels used to identify package are correct. Taste product, pull samples for the lab upon start up (or as designated) to ensure that the product being run are within specifications.
