$16/hr Job Description Join a family-owned furniture manufacturer that specializes in high-quality solid wood home and contract furnishings. As a Production Worker, you will help produce premium residential and commercial furniture by operating woodworking tools, handling materials, and supporting various stages of the production process. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, eager to learn, and takes pride in precise, hands-on work in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Produce solid wood furniture and components in a manufacturing environment according to quality and production standards. Operate basic woodworking hand and power tools safely and efficiently, with training provided as needed. Load, unload, stack, and move wood materials throughout the production process to support continuous workflow. Perform sanding, drilling, assembly, and finishing preparation tasks to ensure products are ready for final finishing. Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and workmanship standards, identifying and addressing defects or inconsistencies. Follow detailed work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures to meet daily output and quality goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials. Process solid wood by matching wood pieces, watching for defects, and stacking wood planks appropriately. Apply glue to products and components as part of the assembly and lamination process. Cut edges of wood to make them straight and smooth, ensuring precise dimensions and high-quality finishes. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewistown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
