RTO provides comprehensive in-house training on our metal finishing processes. It is a plus if the applicant has experience with brass finishing, patina work, or spray finishes. Candidates will be expected to maintain our high quality standards throughout the production process, from preparation through finish and assembly. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Willingness to work fluidly across departments is also a plus as we are a small team and it is occasionally necessary for employees to perform work outside of their normal duties. Essential Duties + Responsibilities Apply metal finishes both by hand and with air powered tools Apply cold patina to metal parts Apply paste wax and spray lacquer finishes Assemble components Wire lighting fixtures Execute work by priority according to a schedule; keeping within estimated time frames Requirements Experience working in a metal shop or production setting is preferred Ability to operate machinery such as a drill press and metal lathe Quality checking against control samples and drawings Ability to work fluidly among different departments Ability to work in a team setting and independently Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Able to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints Detail oriented self-starter with time management skills Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to work in a manufacturing environment Ability to lift 50+ lbs May be in a non-temperature controlled environment Hours 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through
