  • PURPOSE
  • The Sr.
Line Leader focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production. Operates machines or equipment, setting up and adjusting factors such as temperature, pressure, flow, and material reactions. Manually controls the unit or operates it via a control system. Runs up and shuts down production facilities, including product changeover activities. Cleans and decontaminates equipment. Maintains housekeeping of the workplace. Drives forklifts. Fills and takes over tank wagons. Conducts routine analytics and takes samples. Coordinates equipment maintenance and repairs with the technical team. Documents and communicates work results during shift handovers.
  • YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This Manufacturing Leadership position is responsible for the technical availability, operability and continuous improvement of assigned technologies and products.
Responsibilities include safety, quality, productivity, Cost of Goods and other financial metrics. The role has the overall responsibility for the entire value stream for assigned production processes at O'Hara. The incumbent ensures the successful execution of the target deployment through teamwork in the value stream (alignment of the team members and the goals), coaching and challenging the status quo to stabilize and standardize the processes and continuously improve performance. + Overall accountability for technical availability and operability of assigned equipment; + Provide subject matter expertise for the implementation of new production lines; + Define improvement projects and strategies for the equipment/line (from the customer to the supplier); + Negotiate, align and integrate goals for the value stream to support plant vision; + Escalation of topics in the event of deviation; + Promote teamwork and identify and agree on strategies for improvement of the competences of the team and production processes; + Regularly report the progress of the value stream on the shop floor; + Use of A3 for System continuous improvement projects; + Ensure deployment of Asset Ownership processes within areas of responsibility including (e.g. CLs, CILs, DFF, etc.); + Drive and implement maintenance standard improvements + Evaluate and focus on the achievement of the goals based on the mapping of the current status (e.g. realigning or refocusing resources); + Shop Floor KPI Tracking (e.g. OEE, stops and scrap); + Line standards development and ownership.
  • WHO YOU ARE
  • Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • + Bachelor's Degree; + In depth knowledge of Lean Six Sigma; + 7 years overall experience, including any of the following: Manufacturing processes experience, Leadership experience, Project management experience, Process improvement experience, Automated manufacturing assembly and packaging experience; + Excellent verbal and written communication skills; + Demonstrated problem solving abilities; + Strong MS Office application knowledge; + Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills; + Ability to treat internal customers with respect; + Keep commitments; + Inspire the trust of others; + Work with integrity and ethics.
  • PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • + Bachelors degree in Engineering; + 5 years overall experience in combination with a Master's degree; + Environmental, Health and Safety experience; + QSR/ISO Experience.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $145,560.00 to $171,840.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
