Now Hiring Production Worker in Red Lion, PA First Shift Opportunity M-F 6a-2:20p
Pay:
$17.75/hour Job Description This role focuses on assembling flooring and drop ceiling products by following detailed work instructions and using hand tools and measuring devices. You will work as part of a small, collaborative team, performing light to moderate lifting of up to 30-35 lbs several times per shift. Once hired on, you will have the opportunity to train on machinery and be coded as a machine operator, particularly for operations involving table saws and related equipment. Responsibilities Use hand tools and a tape measure to accurately assemble various components for flooring and drop ceiling products according to work instructions. Perform lifting tasks as part of a team while remaining comfortable lifting up to 30-35 lbs independently several times per shift. Learn and maintain a working knowledge of all equipment and machinery within the Ceiling Grid and Containment department. Position parts correctly and monitor equipment operations to produce products that meet established production standards. Inspect panels and parts to ensure they meet specified quality standards while maintaining required production output. Promptly notify appropriate personnel of any quality, equipment, or production issues identified during inspection or operation. Complete production reporting and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner as required. Use banding equipment and hand jacks to safely move, secure, and store products and materials. Maintain good housekeeping in the work area to support a clean, organized, and efficient production environment. Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual. Maintain awareness of how individual work impacts quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance objectives. Report all quality concerns, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel immediately. Participate in training opportunities to develop skills in machine operation, including table saws and related production equipment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in a production environment. Proficiency in using a tape measure to take accurate measurements and follow specifications. Comfort with general labor tasks, including repetitive motions and standing for the duration of the shift. Ability to lift and handle up to 30-35 lbs independently several times per shift and participate in team lifting. Willingness and ability to learn operation of production machinery, including table saws, in a manufacturing setting. Attention to detail for inspecting parts and panels to ensure they meet quality specifications. Ability to complete production and quality paperwork accurately. Commitment to following safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies at all times. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using power tools in a manufacturing or construction environment is a plus. Previous machine operation experience is a plus, particularly with saws or similar equipment. Familiarity with micrometers and calipers for precision measurement is a plus. Experience working in general labor or production roles is beneficial. Ability to learn and apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and other documented processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in the annex, a very clean and up-to-date production area that is loud due to operating machinery. The facility typically has around 15 employees working on the floor at a time, creating a focused and collaborative atmosphere. The annex specializes in containment door assemblies and ceiling grid products, using hand tools, measuring devices, and production equipment. The role is on 1st shift, running from 6:00 a.m. to 2:20 p.m., with an expectation of approximately 1-2 hours of overtime per day. Dress code requirements include long pants (no sweatpants), shirts with at least short sleeves (no sleeveless tops), and steel-toe shoes. Metatarsal protection is required; met-guards that strap over steel-toe shoes are provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Red Lion, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $18.35/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
