We have an immediate full-time second and third shift opening and are searching for a new team member to join our Production Department in Scranton as Material Handlers. These are entry level opportunities that are supported by a team that will train you to perform in our unique environment. What you can expect to be doing: This position is "hands on" and the individual should have a self-starter mindset. The majority of your shift will involve operating large equipment such as shredders and grinders. Manually load and unload product into and out of equipment. Material Handlers are regularly on their feet, monitoring, adjusting, and attentively aware of the equipment they are operating. Forklifts are used to transfer material within the production floor - please note this is not a forklift position. Responsible for executing all safety protocols - safety is critical to everyone's success. Responsible for keeping your designated work area clean What we are looking for in our hires: Our successful candidates are self-starters who are willing to learn! Have a strong work ethic - dependable and demonstrate good attendance Able to work an 8-hour shift 2nd Shift 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm 3rd Shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am Able to meet the physical qualifications for this position, which include: Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds Standing for an extended period of time Lift, throw, bend, squat, twist, and reach Working in both hot and cold conditions Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship Need to be able to read, write, and understand English Basic computer knowledge is a plus Previous manufacturing experience is a plus, but not necessary Mechanically inclined with an attention to detail Lastly, have a positive attitude and be willing to assist others when needed.
