Job Title:
Production Associate Job Description This role supports a plastic manufacturing operation by preparing parts and products for cutting, packaging, and shipment, while maintaining quality and meeting production goals. The Production Associate works on the production line and in general labor functions, helping ensure that products are processed accurately, safely, and efficiently. Responsibilities Load and unload parts and products onto pallets in a safe and organized manner. Prepare parts and products for cutting to appropriate measurements using tape measures and other basic tools. Prepare parts and products to be shipped for powder coating by properly packaging, labeling, and staging materials. Work on the production line to support general production tasks, including packing and packaging of finished goods. Operate basic production and packaging equipment as needed, following all safety and operating procedures. Perform visual inspection of parts and products to ensure they meet quality standards. Follow established quality processes and procedures throughout the facility to maintain consistent product standards. Support loading, unloading, and general production activities as directed by supervisors or leads. Help ensure production deadlines and goals are met by working efficiently and maintaining a steady workflow. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with facility safety guidelines. Essential Skills Experience in production, general labor, or general production work. Ability to perform packaging, packing, loading, unloading, and production line tasks. Basic machine operating experience or willingness to learn. Ability to accurately use a tape measure to verify measurements. Comfort working in a fast-paced work environment. Attention to detail to ensure quality standards are consistently met. Reliability and strong work ethic to support meeting production deadlines and goals. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous manufacturing experience is a plus. Experience in inspection and quality-focused roles is beneficial. Comfort working with plastic manufacturing processes. Willingness to learn and grow into roles such as machine operator, forklift operator, or lead positions. Ability to follow established processes and adapt to rotating shift schedules. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a plastic manufacturing facility that is not temperature controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. The company operates two buildings within approximately five miles of each other, each supporting a different business unit. The role follows a 1st shift schedule of 5:45 a.m. to 6:16 p.m. on a 4x4 rotating schedule. Orientations are scheduled on Mondays at 3:30 p.m., and the training schedule for day shift is 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for two weeks before transitioning to the 4x4 schedule. The environment involves working around production lines, packaging areas, and loading/unloading zones, with a focus on safety and teamwork. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
