Job Description

The Graphic Hive is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Embroidery & Heat Press Operator to join our apparel production team. We produce custom apparel for businesses, schools, organizations, events, and brands throughout the region and beyond. This position will primarily work in our embroidery and heat-applied graphics departments, helping turn customer orders into finished products that meet our quality standards and deadlines. Experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. More important to us is finding someone who is reliable, takes pride in their work, pays attention to details, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. What You'll Do Operate multi-head commercial embroidery equipment Load and unload garments on embroidery machines Hoop garments accurately and consistently Select and load thread colors based on production specifications Monitor embroidery jobs for thread breaks, registration issues, tension problems, and other quality concerns Trim, clean, and finish embroidered garments Operate commercial heat presses for DTF transfers, vinyl, patches, names, numbers, and other heat-applied decoration Accurately position graphics according to our placement standards Follow work orders, mockups, and production instructions Count garments and verify sizes, colors, quantities, and decoration before and after production Perform quality-control checks throughout the production process Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting Package and prepare completed orders for the next stage of production or customer pickup Assist with other apparel production and finishing tasks as needed What We're Looking For The ideal person for this position is someone who: Has strong attention to detail Can follow written and visual instructions accurately Is comfortable performing repetitive production work while maintaining quality Works efficiently without sacrificing accuracy Can manage multiple jobs and priorities Takes ownership of mistakes and helps solve problems Communicates well with coworkers and production management Is dependable and arrives ready to work Is comfortable learning new equipment and processes Can work independently once trained while still being part of a production team Previous experience with commercial embroidery, heat pressing, apparel decoration, sewing, manufacturing, production, or similar hands-on work is helpful but not required. Physical Requirements This is an active production position.
