JOB DESCRIPTION

Production Operators are responsible for supporting plant production needs throughout daily operations, changeovers, and outbound shipments. This position is primarily responsible for operating equipment such as palletizers, seamers, welders, and slitters in a fast-paced, metals manufacturing environment. This position may also be required to maintain satisfactory quality inspection and standards and assist team members in packaging jobs and changeovers as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Operate all manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space Responsible for safety and quality throughout the production process, including following all safety procedures and performing manual and visual quality inspection of products as assigned Responsible for cleaning equipment and area before, during, and after shift May be responsible for sorting product as needed to ensure quality shipments Assist in changeovers when needed Is responsible for cross-training across multiple operations such as presses, palletizers, seamers and/or slitters Responsible for working directly with team members to meet all safety, quality and productivity goals Performs other duties as required by

Supervisor or Manager Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent Experience in a fast-paced, Manufacturing Environment Must have the willingness and ability to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors and other levels of the organization to create a positive, team-oriented environment Ability to read and write in English Basic Math skills such as addition, subtraction and taking measurements Must be willing to work evening or night shift and weekends as needed based on business need
