Job Title:
Production Associate Job Description We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Production Associate to support daily operations in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality production, efficient workflow, and safe operation of equipment throughout the facility. Responsibilities Assist with the manufacturing, processing, and handling of steel piling, pipe, and structural products. Load and unload steel materials, ensuring proper tagging, staging, and storage. Perform quality checks on materials, verifying measurements, specifications, and product integrity. Follow production schedules and work orders to meet daily output goals. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards. Support machine operators and welders with material prep, staging, and workflow needs. Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or production delays to supervisors promptly. Participate in daily safety meetings and follow all OSHA and company safety protocols. Essential Skills Proficiency in using tape measures, hand and power tools. Experience in field labor, construction, assembly, and machine operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in steel manufacturing or related industry is a plus. Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled and operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Occasional extended workdays up to 14 hours may occur based on business needs, though the average workweek is approximately 44 hours. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calhoun, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
