Job Title:
Production Associate Job Description The Production Associate operates and monitors manufacturing equipment, supports smooth production flow, and helps maintain consistent product quality. This role involves working closely with team members on the production line to ensure machinery runs efficiently, materials are handled safely, and the work area remains clean and organized. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Load raw materials into the production line according to established procedures. Monitor machines during operation and visually inspect materials as they are being processed. Identify and report any equipment, material, or process issues to the team lead promptly. Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality and productivity standards. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure quality expectations are consistently met. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift. Follow all production, safety, and quality guidelines and procedures. Assist with basic mechanical tasks related to machine operation and mechanical assembly as needed. Support packaging, banding, and material handling activities to keep production running smoothly. Essential Skills Experience operating or assisting with machine operation in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to load and unload machines and handle raw materials safely. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanically inclined tasks and basic mechanical assembly. Ability to perform visual inspection and basic quality checks during production. Comfort working with packaging, banding, and general production tasks. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues with equipment or materials. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative production team. Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience is a plus. Clamp truck experience is a plus. Quality inspection experience is a plus. Experience in general production, packaging, or mechanical assembly is beneficial. Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a brand-new production facility with a strong culture of collaboration and teamwork. The environment can be loud and may become hot at times, and the facility is installing large fans to improve airflow and comfort. You will work around state-of-the-art production equipment and machinery, handling materials and packaging on the production floor. Appropriate safety footwear, such as steel toe or composite toe shoes, is required before starting in this role. The overall atmosphere emphasizes safety, cooperation, and supporting each other to meet production and quality goals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jeffersonville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
