Job Title:
Production Worker Job Description This role focuses on hands-on production work in an environmentally controlled manufacturing plant, including operating production and packaging equipment, assembling products, and ensuring product quality. You will work in a fast-paced environment as part of a friendly, supportive team, contributing directly to efficient and accurate packaging and fulfillment of products. Responsibilities Assemble and prepare products by screwing lids onto bottles and ensuring they are securely fastened. Pack finished products accurately into appropriate containers or boxes according to production and packaging specifications. Wrap and label products as needed to prepare them for storage or shipment. Operate general production and packaging machinery safely and efficiently, following established operating procedures. Monitor machine operation during production runs and report any issues or irregularities to the appropriate personnel. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant production environment. Perform basic math and measurements to verify counts, quantities, and packaging requirements. Lift, move, and stack materials and finished goods, including items weighing between 25 and 50 pounds, while following safe lifting practices. Essential Skills At least 2 years of production experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. Minimum of 1 year of experience working under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Hands-on experience with general production and packaging processes. Ability to operate basic production and packaging machinery safely. Strong attention to product quality and detail during assembly and packaging. Basic math skills to perform counts, measurements, and simple calculations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general labor roles within manufacturing or production settings. Familiarity with machine operation in a production or packaging environment. Comfort working as part of a close-knit, collaborative team. Willingness to learn new equipment and processes as production needs evolve. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in an environmentally controlled manufacturing plant designed to support consistent product quality and employee comfort. The workday follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The environment is physical and fast paced, requiring regular movement, standing, and lifting between 25 and 50 pounds. You will work with production and packaging machinery and handle bottles, lids, wrapping materials, and finished goods. The team culture is very friendly and supportive, reflecting the company's family-owned nature. Appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing setting is expected, with adherence to any safety and cleanliness requirements typical of a GMP-compliant facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
