Job Title:
Production Support Job Description This role supports a manufacturing facility by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe production environment. You focus on routine cleaning, sorting production materials, and identifying potential hazards to help prevent incidents and support plant safety, operational efficiency, and compliance with housekeeping and safety standards. There are multiple openings on weekday first shifts with the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity. Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment across production areas. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, wiping, and general janitorial duties in and around production lines. Sort production materials and components to keep work areas organized and free of unnecessary clutter. Support general production activities and assist with basic general labor tasks as needed. Identify and report potential fire risks, housekeeping deficiencies, and unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel. Apply basic principles of combustible dust and fire prevention when performing cleaning and material handling tasks. Follow established workplace safety practices and housekeeping standards at all times. Conduct visual quality checks in work areas to ensure cleanliness and orderliness meet company expectations. Use cleaning tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Consistently arrive on time and complete scheduled shifts to support continuous plant operations. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail and observation skills. Knowledge of workplace safety practices. Ability to identify potential fire risks and housekeeping deficiencies. Basic understanding of combustible dust and fire prevention principles. Good organizational and material sorting skills. Ability to perform cleaning, sweeping, and general janitorial tasks in an industrial environment. Capability to perform general labor and general production support duties. Reliability in consistently reporting to work as scheduled. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in industrial cleaning or janitorial work in a manufacturing or production setting. Previous experience in general production or general labor roles. Comfort working in a non-temperature controlled industrial facility. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing facility that is non-temperature controlled, so conditions may vary with the seasons. You work on a weekday first shift schedule Monday through Friday on a 10-hour shift from 7:00 a.m. to 5:10 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The environment includes active production lines, industrial equipment, and standard cleaning tools and supplies. You should expect to be on your feet for most of the shift and to perform physical tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, and moving materials in an industrial setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glasgow, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
