Production Machine Operator Clackamas, OR 10-hour Swing Shift 2:30pm-1:00am, Monday-Thursday $21.50/hr. Job Description Join a light industrial manufacturing team producing metal components used in anti-siphoning gas tank assemblies for semi-trucks. In this role, you operate production machinery to cut, bend, punch, and trim metal parts, follow detailed work instructions, and perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications. You work safely at all times and contribute to a smooth and efficient production process. Responsibilities Operate production machinery to cut, bend, punch, and trim metal parts according to established procedures and work instructions. Follow detailed production instructions and standard operating procedures to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently. Inspect parts visually and using basic measurement tools to verify quality and adherence to specifications. Perform repetitive production tasks while maintaining focus, consistency, and attention to detail throughout the shift. Handle general production duties including machine operation, assembly, packaging, and inspection as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards. Adhere to strict safety procedures, including proper use of equipment and compliance with all facility safety guidelines. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve basic production or quality issues. Report equipment concerns, defects, or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Essential Skills Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to operate basic production machinery and equipment safely and reliably. Comfort with repetitive production tasks while maintaining quality and consistency. Strong attention to detail for inspecting parts and following work instructions. Ability to perform general labor tasks such as assembly, packaging, and inspection. Willingness to follow strict safety procedures and facility guidelines. Dependable work habits, including punctuality and reliability on assigned shifts. Ability to work with hands and handle metal parts in a light industrial setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus. Experience or hobbies involving building, fixing, or working with hands can be beneficial. Comfort working in a team-oriented environment with shared production goals. Ability to learn new machinery and processes through on-the-job training. Interest in long-term growth and advancement within a manufacturing setting. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is on 2nd shift, working Monday through Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The facility is a clean, light industrial production environment with approximately 70-100 employees manufacturing aluminum parts for the automotive industry. Work primarily involves operating machinery and handling metal components in a structured production setting, with a focus on safety, organization, and consistent workflow. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clackamas, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
