Job Description

Part-Time Manufacturing Engineering Specialist Durango, CO | Approximately 20 Hours/Week | Flexible Student Schedule GT Tools is looking for a highly motivated engineering student or early-career engineer who wants hands-on experience improving a real-world manufacturing operation. You'll work directly with our Machine Shop Manager and manufacturing team on CNC machining, CAD/CAM, manufacturing data analysis, time studies, Lean improvements, engineering documentation, 3D printing, G-code/Python projects, ERP systems, and process optimization. This isn't an internship where you'll spend your semester watching from the sidelines. We want someone who is curious, highly computer savvy, willing to get onto the shop floor, and constantly asking, "How can we make this better?" What You'll Work On CNC manufacturing process improvement CAD/CAM programming Manufacturing data analysis Time studies and process documentation Engineering drawing revisions 3D printing G-code and Python projects Lean manufacturing Quality and ERP systems Equipment, tooling, and automation research Root-cause analysis Manufacturing efficiency and cost-reduction projects Ideal Candidate Currently studying Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
CNC/CAD/CAM
experience is a plus, but curiosity, computer skills, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn are more important.
Schedule:
Approximately 20 hours/week with flexibility around classes.
Location:
On-site in Durango, Colorado.
