Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pattern Maker to join our dynamic design and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming conceptual designs into precise patterns that serve as the foundation for high-quality garments. Your expertise in flat pattern making, fabric materials, and pattern grading will ensure that each prototype and sample meets our exacting standards. Responsibilities Develop detailed patterns using pattern-making software, ensuring accuracy in measurements and fit. Create prototypes by fabricating patterns into physical samples, utilizing fabric cutting machines and cutting tools. Operate sewing machines and garment construction equipment to assemble samples for review. Implement pattern grading techniques to produce size variations while maintaining design integrity. Use drafting skills to produce flat patterns, technical sketches, and detailed pattern pieces for manufacturing. Conduct quality control by measuring garments against specifications, ensuring precision in fit and construction. Collaborate with designers and production teams to refine patterns based on fitting sessions and feedback, adjusting patterns as needed for optimal results. Qualifications Proven experience in pattern making, garment sample creation, and sewing within a manufacturing or fashion environment. Proficiency with pattern-making software such as Gerber, Optitex, or equivalent tools. Strong knowledge of fabric materials including leather and various textiles used in garment construction. Skilled in fabric cutting techniques, fabric fabrication processes, and the operation of fabric cutting machines. Mechanical aptitude with experience operating sewing machines, cutting tools, and fabric cutting machines. Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for measurement accuracy and quality control standards. Ability to interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications accurately; strong math skills are essential.
