Job Description

Because of safety regulations and the use of industrial equipment, applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Regular/Standard Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 6:30 am to 3 pm

hours: Monday - Friday 6 am to 3:30 pm Operate equipment in the milling department. The main functions are machine operation, equipment maintenance, production documentation, in-process inspection and product & scrap handling.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Machine Operation:

Safely operate any piece of equipment in the department after formal training has taken place. Maintain a safe working environment and use all necessary equipment required for each particular job. Have the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, lift and endure elevated temperatures for 10 hours per day. Have the ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.

Equipment Maintenance:

Ensure all assigned equipment is maintained in accordance with documented Routine & Preventive maintenance instructions.

Production Documents:

Accurately & completely document all pertinent production traveler information, manufacturing inspection plans, etc..

In-process Inspection:

Perform in-process inspection of parts using quality control inspection tools (calipers, comparators, gages, etc.). Follow applicable procedures. Ensure that the calibration for all equipment they use for inspection is current.

Product & Scrap Handling:

Move raw material and finished product to appropriate locations as instructed by the mill supervisor. Properly segregate and identify any scrap generated during manufacturing. Move scrap to the designated location on the floor. Various duties as assigned.
