Onsite About the Role We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Expediter II to support manufacturing and production operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role is responsible for coordinating material movement throughout production areas, supporting workflow efficiency, and ensuring components and assemblies progress smoothly through various stages of manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess strong material handling experience, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work collaboratively across production teams. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Support Load and unload parts, components, and assemblies onto production fixtures and workstations. Stage materials, weldments, and fixtures in designated production and lay-down areas. Coordinate the movement of products between work centers to maintain production flow. Support production schedules by ensuring materials and equipment are available when needed. Material Handling & Logistics Safely transport materials, fixtures, and equipment throughout the facility. Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and lifting devices, in accordance with established procedures. Assist with locating, organizing, and moving fixtures and production tooling. Stage jobs and materials to support manufacturing operations and workflow efficiency. Quality & Documentation Review documentation and work orders before transferring products to the next operation. Verify paperwork is complete and accurate to support production requirements. Identify and report damaged materials, components, or documentation discrepancies. Support quality standards by ensuring products move through the manufacturing process correctly. Safety & Compliance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Promote a strong safety culture by demonstrating safe work practices and encouraging team compliance. Use material handling equipment responsibly and safely at all times. Team Collaboration Work closely with operations, production, and warehouse teams to support manufacturing goals. Assist with general shop and production support activities as needed. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Support additional operational duties to meet business and production objectives. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics, or material handling environments. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment. Ability to read and review production paperwork, work orders, and related documentation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment. Basic problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to supporting operations. Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing setting. Required Skills Forklift experience and current certification or demonstrated qualification. Ability to successfully complete crane and rigging training within two months of hire. Ability to safely operate forklifts, lifting equipment, and material handling devices. Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications Crane and rigging certification or previous qualification. Experience working in fabrication, welding, machining, manufacturing, or industrial production environments. Experience supporting production scheduling, staging, and material flow activities. Knowledge of warehouse, inventory, or shop floor operations. Physical Requirements Ability to move, lift, and position materials and production components as required. Ability to work in a manufacturing and industrial environment.
