Job Title:
Multitasked / Preparation Operator 1
ST SHIFT Reports To:
Department Supervisor Job Summary The Textile Multitasked Operator is responsible for operating and assisting with multiple textile production processes, including dyeing, finishing, padding, and material handling. This role requires flexibility to move between machines and departments to ensure efficient production, quality standards, and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities Operate various textile machinery such as re-rolling, treatment padder, Wet-Tex, de-size range, pigment padder, and Kusters machines. Measure and mix chemicals, dyes, pigments, and treatment solutions according to formulas and instructions. Assist in setting up machines for production runs (loading fabric, adjusting settings, chemical mixing, etc.) Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality Inspect fabric for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment Follow production schedules, formula sheets, treatment instructions, and meet daily output targets Coordinate with other operators and assist dyehouse personnel when neededP Accurately complete production and quality documentation Assist in troubleshooting minor mechanical or process issues Handle raw materials and finished goods safely and efficiently Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous textile manufacturing experience preferred (dye house, finishing, or weaving/knitting a plus) Ability to operate multiple machines or learn quickly across departments Basic math and measurement skills Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability Ability to read and follow work instructions and production sheets Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities Team-oriented with good communication skills Time management and efficiency-focused Commitment to safety and quality standards Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods (8-12 hours) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs . Frequent bending, walking, and reaching Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment (heat, humidity, noise) Work Environment Textile manufacturing facility (dye house, finishing floor, or production area) Exposure to chemicals, heat, and moving machinery
