Production Associate Job Description The Production Associate assembles solar panels and related components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role uses hand tools, follows blueprints, and works closely with a team to produce high-quality solar panel assemblies that meet production and quality standards. Responsibilities Assemble solar panel components using a variety of hand tools in a safe and efficient manner. Read and interpret blueprints and prints to correctly assemble panels according to specifications. Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet daily and weekly production targets. Perform general production and assembly tasks as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations. Inspect assembled components for quality, accuracy, and completeness before moving them to the next stage. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity. Follow all manufacturing procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions consistently. Identify and report any issues with parts, tools, or equipment to help maintain smooth production flow. Essential Skills At least 1 year of manufacturing experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and prints for assembly work. Proficiency using hand tools for mechanical assembly tasks. Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of basic production and assembly processes. Experience in general production, general labor, or assembly roles. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality assembly work. Additional Skills & Qualifications production labor or manufacturing environments. Comfort working with solar panel components or similar mechanical assemblies. Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and equipment as the facility grows. Reliability and consistency in meeting production schedules and quality expectations. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a new manufacturing facility focused on solar panel production. The environment includes non-climate-controlled areas, with some building climate-controlled spaces, so conditions may vary with the seasons. You will work on a production floor using hand tools and standard manufacturing equipment alongside a team of associates. The schedule and shifts align with typical production operations, and you can expect an active, hands-on environment that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
