Job Title:
Production Support Job Description This role focuses on maintaining a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment by performing routine cleaning, sorting production materials, and supporting general production activities. You will help prevent hazards, support plant safety, and contribute to operational efficiency by following established housekeeping and safety standards in a busy industrial setting. Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment through routine cleaning and housekeeping activities. Perform general labor and production support tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly. Sweep, mop, and perform janitorial duties in production and common areas to prevent slip, trip, and fall hazards. Sort and organize production materials to support efficient workflow and inventory management. Identify and report potential fire risks, housekeeping deficiencies, and other safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Apply basic knowledge of combustible dust and fire prevention principles when performing cleaning tasks. Follow workplace safety practices and company housekeeping standards at all times. Assist with basic quality control checks related to cleanliness, organization, and proper material handling. Arrive reliably and consistently for scheduled weekday shifts and complete assigned tasks within the designated timeframes. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail and observation skills. Knowledge of workplace safety practices. Ability to identify potential fire risks and housekeeping deficiencies. Basic understanding of combustible dust and fire prevention principles. Good organizational and material sorting skills. Ability to perform general labor and general production tasks in a manufacturing environment. Capability to carry out janitorial, industrial cleaning, and sweeping duties. Reliability in attending scheduled shifts and completing assigned work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in cleaning, industrial cleaning, or janitorial work in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Comfort working in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Ability to adapt to different shift lengths and schedules as needed by production. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing facility that is non-temperature controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. You will work on a weekday schedule, Monday through Friday or a 10-hour first shift from 7:00 am to 5:10 pm Monday through Thursday. The environment includes active production areas where cleaning, sorting, and general labor tasks are performed around industrial equipment and materials, and appropriate safety practices are expected at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Glasgow, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
