Job Description
Production Lead - Food Manufacturing & Maintenance Monday-Friday | Benefits | Growth Opportunity $1,500.00 Signing Bonus, payable upon 4 months (120 days) of consecutive employment! Alfresco Pasta is looking for an experienced, hands-on Production Lead to help lead our manufacturing operation and keep our production equipment running at its best. This is not a desk-based supervisor position. It is a hands-on production and maintenance leadership role , and equipment maintenance is a major part of the job. You'll combine leadership with mechanical ability— leading employees, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, completing preventive maintenance, and helping improve our production processes. What You'll Do Equipment Maintenance & Plant Support Troubleshoot production and packaging equipment and diagnose mechanical problems Perform routine repairs, adjustments, and equipment changeovers Complete scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and required PM documentation Inspect equipment for wear, damage, leaks, unusual operation, and potential failures Help minimize equipment downtime and keep production running Perform minor repairs and maintenance throughout the plant Assist with equipment installation, setup, testing, and improvements Identify when replacement parts, outside technicians, or specialized repairs are needed Maintain maintenance tools, spare parts, and supplies Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and equipment safety procedures Production Leadership Lead and support kitchen, production, and packaging employees Help manage daily production schedules, staffing, and workflow Monitor production for quality, consistency, efficiency, and proper procedures Train employees on equipment operation, production procedures, sanitation, and safety Troubleshoot production issues and help identify opportunities for improvement Ensure employees follow GMP, food safety, sanitation, allergen, and safety requirements Complete required production and maintenance documentation Coordinate with QA and Sanitation following equipment maintenance to ensure equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for production Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and organization as needed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on manufacturing experience, and the ability to lead a team. Experience with any of the following is a plus: Machine Troubleshooting Equipment Repair Preventive Maintenance Production Equipment Mechanical Adjustments LOTO Pneumatics Electrical Troubleshooting Food Manufacturing Team Leadership Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, food production, or another hands-on production environment is preferred. Food manufacturing, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and preventive maintenance experience are a plus. You don't need to know our specific machines—we can train you on our equipment. But you must be mechanically inclined, comfortable working on machinery, and willing to be hands-on with maintenance. The Right Person You enjoy fixing equipment, solving problems, and leading people. You're comfortable turning wrenches, making machine adjustments, performing PMs, working alongside the production team, and stepping in when something needs to get done. At the same time, you can keep production moving, hold employees accountable, and maintain high standards for quality, food safety, sanitation, and productivity.
