Job Description
Sewing Machine Maintenance Technician In Dunlap Pay$28-$30 We are seeking a skilled and dependable Sewing Machine Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing industrial sewing machines and related production equipment to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, experience with preventative maintenance programs, and a commitment to workplace safety Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, tune-ups, and cleaning of industrial sewing machines. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and tooling-related issues. Replace worn or damaged components, including motors, belts, needles, presser feet, and other machine parts. Calibrate and adjust machines for different fabrics, stitch requirements, and production specifications. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues. Ensure proper stitch quality and machine performance through testing and equipment adjustments. Schedule and complete maintenance activities in a timely manner to minimize production downtime. Support production teams with machine changeovers and tooling modifications. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Mobility tooling, including hammers and crimpers. Coordinate with supervisors regarding technical issues requiring additional resources or support. Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair documentation. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Assist with additional maintenance and production support tasks as needed. 2+ years of industrial maintenance, sewing machine repair, or manufacturing equipment maintenance experience preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience with preventative maintenance programs and equipment calibration. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation. Familiarity with industrial sewing equipment and automated production machinery is preferred. Knowledge of safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and manufacturing best practices. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
