Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling products with precision and adherence to safety standards, ensuring high-quality output that meets production specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment. Responsibilities Assemble components accurately using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Conduct manual handling tasks involving lifting while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. Utilize measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards during assembly processes. Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safety procedures. Assist in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and maintaining lean manufacturing principles. Manage the use of manufacturing management systems for tracking parts, materials, and production progress. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal functioning. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards. Experience Proven factory or manufacturing facility experience with a focus on assembly operations. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents accurately. Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including manual handling and lifting procedures. Familiarity with forklift operation and warehouse processes is highly desirable. Experience managing or working within assembly lines in a fast-paced setting. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by technical proficiency in interpreting technical specifications. Background in process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing is advantageous. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
