The Shift Opener plays a crucial role in preparing the facility for daily operations by ensuring all equipment and work areas are ready at the start of each shift. Responsibilities Unlock and inspect all necessary equipment and work areas at the beginning of each shift to ensure readiness. Conduct safety checks to confirm that all machinery and tools are functioning properly. Prepare materials, supplies, and documentation needed for the day's operations. Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding any issues or discrepancies identified during opening procedures. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work environment before operations commence. Document opening procedures and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Assist in coordinating with other shifts to ensure seamless transition and continuity of operations. Qualifications Proven experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to operate basic hand tools and equipment is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and supervisors. Dependable with a strong work ethic and punctuality. Ability to work early morning hours or flexible schedules as required. Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures in industrial settings is desirable.
