Job Description
Job Summary Join FTS now!! Great people, great benefits and a clean working environment!! A tier one supplier of fuel system parts to the automotive industry, has immediate openings for a 2nd Shift Production Control Team Leader (4:00pm-12:30am or later).
Summary:
Intent of this role is to lead efforts by maintaining inventory, moving materials/finished goods to meet production schedules and satisfy customer delivery requirements. This role may lead team members. Qualified applicants should possess the following:Essential Job Functions:
- Drive forklift to move materials within the plant and to load/unload trucks
- Maintain Inventory accuracy
- Perform cycle counting
- Make kaizen improvements
- Update computer and print shipping documents
- Complete end of shift reports daily
- Provide training to increase skill capacity toward supporting shipping/receiving, and material handling roles
- Build and maintain positive relationship with employees, vendors and customer
- All other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge /Education:
- GED or High School diploma
- Inventory flow process from receiving to shipping (ie. FIFO, Inventory management, Ship/Receiving)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - excel, outlook, word
- Basic math
Skills:
- Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office applications and database input
- Effective Organizational and Time Management skills
- Detail oriented to maintain accurate inventory and end of shift reporting
- Communicate effectively written / verbal
- Maintain a positive work environment
- Self-starter with little to no direct supervision
- Drive Forklift to load and unload trucks
Abilities:
- Ability to lead production control activities to meet production goals while focusing on quality and safety
- Ability to work with other departments to meet production goals
- Ability to accurately track consumables and raw and finished goods inventories
- Ability to lead kaizen activities and recommend improvements based on daily activity
- Ability to train others and trouble shoot basic issues with limited supervision
- Ability to perform all production control jobs for training purposes and for absenteeism
- Capable of multitasking and adjusting to changing priorities
- Responsive to solve immediate concerns and keeps others informed on requests in a timely fashion
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment. Professionalism is a MUST.
- Must be able to meet flexible work hours as needed (example: come in early or work over in order to help cover other shifts due to absenteeism or work a split shift)
