    Production Associate
  • Job Description
  • This role supports a highly automated food manufacturing facility by assisting machine operators in producing protein bars.
As a Production Associate, you load ingredients and materials, support processing and packaging operations, and help keep production running smoothly in a new, startup-style plant environment. This is a direct-hire opportunity with on-the-job training and the chance to grow as the facility ramps up production.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Support machine operators throughout the production process to ensure consistent and efficient output of protein bars.
+ Load raw ingredients, such as dough and other components, into mixing machines according to production requirements. + Load melt materials, including chocolate, into melt machines to support continuous production. + Load materials into wrapper machines to keep packaging lines running efficiently. + Load sprinkles and other toppings or inclusions into designated hoppers or machines as needed. + Wash and clean trays and other production-related items to maintain cleanliness and readiness for use. + Assist with packing finished products, ensuring items are properly packaged and prepared for shipment. + Work on both processing and packing sides of operations as needed, adapting to changing priorities and tasks. + Remain on your feet for the full shift while safely performing general labor and production support tasks. + Follow food production and processing guidelines and adapt to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as they are implemented. + Help support the startup of a brand new plant by adapting to new processes and equipment and providing feedback as needed. + Communicate effectively with team members and machine operators to keep production flowing and resolve issues quickly. + Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and cleanliness standards in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Experience in food production, food processing, or other production or manufacturing environments.
+ Experience in general labor or general production work, including loading and working on production lines. + Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks while standing on your feet for the entire shift. + Comfort working around automated production and packaging equipment in a support capacity. + Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and help get the plant up and running smoothly. + Flexibility and adaptability to work in a startup environment with evolving processes and shifts. + Willingness to work different shifts, including the potential to move to an earlier or second shift as operations expand.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Previous experience in food manufacturing or a similar regulated production environment is highly desirable.
+ Experience with production lines, loading materials, and packaging operations is beneficial. + Comfort working in both processing and packing areas within a manufacturing facility. + Ability to learn quickly through on-the-job training and adapt to new procedures and equipment. + Strong teamwork mindset and willingness to support machine operators and other team members wherever needed.

  • Work Environment
  • The role is based in a brand new, highly automated food manufacturing plant focused on producing protein bars.
The facility is climate controlled, with both air conditioning and heat to protect food ingredients and maintain a comfortable working environment. You will work in a startup-style operation where processes are still being refined, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) will be implemented as the plant matures. You will support operations on both the processing and packing sides and will be on your feet for the entire shift performing physical tasks such as loading ingredients, washing trays, and assisting with packaging. The current shift runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. In the coming months, shifts will transition to earlier hours, such as 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and a second shift is expected to open with approximate hours of 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. On-the-job training is provided, and the facility currently uses temporary portable restrooms while permanent plumbing is being completed. Steel toe or composite protective footwear is required, supported by an employer stipend.
